This space began with two loves: teaching and exploring the place I call home. Here, those two threads come together. You’ll find local business highlights, weekend wandering ideas, seasonal reflections, classroom connections, and stories about the communities tucked between Chicago’s edge, Lake Michigan, and Indiana’s prairie roads.
The Indiana Dunes region is layered — beach towns, wetlands, old forests, birding trails, working cities, farm roads, school buildings, antique shops, local restaurants, and families making a life in between. Prairie, Dune & Shore celebrates those layers.
